Rooted in the North. Grown with Purpose.

Certified organic food, flowers, and native plants—grown in rhythm with the seasons and the land.

Our Story

The Boreal Farm began in 2014 on a patch of land nestled in Minnesota’s boreal forest. Once neglected, the farm and soil have been lovingly restored and now yields fresh, flavorful food that reflects the rhythms of the North.

From the start, our mission has been simple:

To cultivate certified organic food, flowers, and native plants—while fostering a food culture rooted in care for the land, the seasons, and northern life.

We’re more than just growers. We’re caretakers of place, stewards of soil, and believers in the power of good food to build community.

Why We Farm

Our purpose is simple, but powerful:To offer certified organic food, flowers, and native plants through seasonal CSA shares, gardening education, and a seasonal farmstand—grounded in a deep respect for the land, the seasons, and northern life.

Meet the Farmers

Behind The Boreal Farm is a small but mighty team: my family and me. We’re the ones in the field at sunrise, the hands on the harvest, the ones who chase chickens, pull weeds, and pause for every rainbow.

Farming is our way of life—and our way of giving back. Between walk-behind tractor repairs and carrot washing, we’re raising kids, planting seeds of curiosity, and finding laughter through the rough spots (mostly at ourselves).

It’s not always tidy, and it’s never boring. But this life—rooted in the rhythms of the North—feeds more than just our table. It’s where we’ve found purpose, patience, and the joy of watching something grow.
